Nah, I think just a head transplant would work well enough. Repainting Grimmy's head is a no-no...why even bother making it some representation of Barricade, then? Even if you wanted to G1-ize the head, you wouldn't really need to repaint the head much anyway :P

 

To complete the homage, I think the doors should be rotated so they can hang over the arms or point straight up in the air.
