in the Masterpiece series. That'll be something huh? A triple changing Masterpiece!!

 

Their molds can be easily modelled after real-life planes and tanks. Cyclonus will be one bad-ass fighter jet. Plus, the colour scheme doesn't have to be Blotty since Cyclonus isn't red in the anime and Blitzwing isn't orange.

 

Hmm..plus do you think they'll start making Masterpiece molds of Jazz and the other cars since they've already done that for the Binaltech line?

Yeah, I definitely would agree those two makes great Masterpiece Candidates. I love both G1 molds (G1 Cyclonus, especially) and would love to see how the engineering for a Masterpiece Blitzwing would be approached.

releasing UM with his armour would be nice, i've seen kitbashers do it well. I'd love to see Hot Rod.

MP Thundercracker (probably a foregone conclusion), Anime Starscream (obviously), maybe Rodimus (though one could argue KISS fits the bill)... a "complete" version of Ultra Magnus would be ideal, but I don't expect to see it. Maybe Galvatron? An actual movie-accurate Galvatron figure would be tops in my book, just make him the right color this time.

I saw him today at TRU (along with Op Op and Soundwave) when I was out investigating rumors of movie figs. I didn't buy him since who I really want from the Titanium line to buy is Fallen and WWi Megatron. But I may go back and get him if he's still there at the end of the week.

At this point, the only characters I can see HasTak even remotely considering to give the high-end Masterpiece treatment would be Grimlock, Hot Rod/Rodimus, Galvatron, and maybe Soundwave. And Thundercracker on TakaraTomy's side, purely on the virtue of it being an easy repaint.

 

Beyond that, the rest of them are a bunch of second/third tier bit player characters. There are favourites, sure, but none are particularly iconic and deserving of such royal treatment.

Iconic? These three definitely fit for the Autobot side. I'd order Grimlock immediately and would love to see Bumblebee and Jazz given the Masterpiece treatment. (Though I do realize that this probably wouldn't be able to be done as they're both German vehicles.) As for the Decepticons, Soundwave definitely to go along with the repaint for Thundercracker and perhaps Galvatron. I also would buy Shockwave.
