Well the voyager is better. As some one wbo feels obliged to pick up both, the expensive one being less cool is agrivating. Anyone else notice in toy tearms that "movie acurate" means "sucks more"?

And I'm not being picky. I've alluded to my vague reasons, why can't you do the same? Or is just saying "LOL NO" good enough for you? If so, you could just not post and I'll pretend you did, same level of input in the topic, less space wasted. Everyone wins.

You bring nothing but flames and discontent to every Prime thread you can get your grubby ass on. You comment about people's posts being nothing but wasted space...well Starscreaming and complaining about them is a waste of space too.

You've already covered the whole "I demand a better answer than..." issue. People are going to answer how they want, so deal with it. Besides, we could do with a little less "Why SexKitty likes this or that...in great detail" and whole lot more of STFU!

You're nothing but a troll with a chip on her shoulder (and in reality you're a nobody on a message board in cyberspace. You might think you're better than everyone else, but you're just as pathetic and worthless as the next person you're about to attack.)

:edit:

On the topic at hand:

After seeing the really nice pictures of Leader Class Megatron over at TFW...I have to say I'm even more sold then I was before. The mace/claw gimmick, the arms combining into one giant weapon, etc...oh yeah. He's definitely a must buy on my list. Not to mention the articulated claws for hands. I'm not a big fan of the head placement in vehicle mode, but I can live with it.

The more and more I see of the Leader Class figures, the more and more I have to ask "WTF?!" about the Voyager Class figures. I like that they're catering to different audiences and different pocketbooks/wallets, but past a certain point I don't see a need for them.

Ice Megatron and Driver Prime pale in comparison to the Leader Class.

^

I'll agree to the latter half, & not bother with the first.

I'm no mod so why get involved.

Say it however you will but personally as I see it the Voyager is way more movie accurate. By that I don't mean by transformation/detailing I simply mean the streamlined asthetics of the bot mode. Much closer to the movie renders we've seen. Does that make it a better toy though? Depends on perception & what you want. For something simple/movie accurate Voyager Prime definitely fits the bill. I personally like it because it looks like a fun toy & the smokestack guns are a neat addition. The Leader class Prime though looks to deliver a lot more bang for your buck & in a lot prettier package. By that I mean the wonderful detailing/paintaps/seemless alt mode, & complex transformation. Not quite the represenitive the voyager is but for everything Hasbro has packed into the Leader class version it's definitely a higher end toy.

One complaint I don't get is how you can knock points off for the alt mode of all things. If the LC gets at least one thing right it's the alt mode. Every pic/vid review I have come across has continually shown/stated the structural integrity of this thing.

Hot Rods comparison thread if you missed it.

Regarding the seemless exterior of the voyager. What the Powerglide happened here? I thought it all fit so nicely together in alt mode. I'd expect it would fit together better & seeing as Remy does his best to photograph these things as they are it almost looks like there was little he could do about it. :tdown

Excellent points all around. Especially the seams issue. I never actually paid that much attention to it...for as much as I've scrutinized the differences between the two figures...I can't believe I missed that. Excellent.

I do admit that the Voyager is more streamlined and fits somewhat better with the movie design and it's slender frame, but it compromises too much for my tastes.

Besides if I want an absolutely accurate figurine of the movie model, I'll wait for the Titanium, or the inevitable resin kit (or statue, or whatever) that will most assuredly come out down the line.

I'm willing to forgo perfection in terms of keeping with the movie model if it means a far more complex transformation, oodles of detail and more gimmicks.

I like the driver and the dual weapons of the Voyager class, but beyond that, he's just a semi hood backpack with a robot coming out of it. The Leader Class seems to incorporate every piece of it's body in the overall picture.

I don't expect a Voyager to be nearly as complex as a Leader, but a little more effort than "Oh hai! I'm werkin' the bacpac"

voyager has better bot mode(compared to the animated movie version, ubt the LC is better overall), LC has better alt mode period. Leave it at please.

Well, aren't you sweet? For someone so intent on calling me a Troll (for voicing my opinion about leader/voyager class Prime in a leader/voyager Prime topic no less), you sure jump to calling me names and using profanity. And what's all this deciding how worthless I am in real life? Unless you have magic internet powers, you're just talking out your ass.

But of course, if they're kind of mean on the internet, they must be horrible jerks in real life. Your post was just a whole bunch of false assumptions and rambling, and making yourself seem crazy isn't going to help you get your point across.

Grow up. :3

Look at that, closed seams!

I like Leader's alt a lot, but the lack of gimmicks ruin it for me (something autobot032 sees as the major plus of the leaders), lights and sounds are gay. Flipping little Peter Cullen is hard core.

As for the bot mode, I love the voyager's legs a whole bunch. The transformation looks hardcore, and the whole design is just pretty. The thighs have way more detail than the Leader's, which kind of surprised me. The Leader's torso is just a gian block of electronics, instead of the "V"ish shape we've been seeing (voyager's faked chest captures this the best). I like that the Leader's arms actually do transform, but that's it.

And two missles > one. Voyager just has more bang for the buck.

wow, I can't wait for this thread to get locked too

as for the now seems on the voyager prime, they're still extremely visable

I'm actually going to have to ask Remy about that. Unless the truck closes properly as in the pic SK linked I'm not sure why he would have pictured it the way he did. Puzzling.

As for the ongoing debate. Looks like each variation has its high/low points as everybody has pointed out so all that's left is to decide on one or the other or in my case both & leave it at that. :thumb

FWIW the rubber wheels are a huge plus for me & give the leader Alt status.

agreed

Until it turns to dust in twenty years. >.>
