Yeah, Takara doesn't exactly have a history of "asking permission" before producing their TF cars, which is why Binaltech is such a big deal. Notice that the first Sideburn had no references to Dodge on the package, but the repaint did (along w/ the Viper logo on the car). I imagine that as Hasbro sat down with Dodge to discuss Alternators, Dodge might have been like, "you know, you *are* already using one of our products without our authorization..."

i think the best prowl would be the F1 safety car from Mercedses.

 

here it is. i don't know whether this is the latest version of the safety car, though... will try to find the latest version.

The CL55 is from a couple of seasons ago, the current one is the new SLK55.

(P.S. I LOVE that Subaru cop car -- I want that as Prowl. Of course it should be the same mold as Streak -- duh.)

Since some of you actually do want more Subaru repaints, how many more do you predict we will have in the Alt/BT line?

I don't mind if we had gotten the cop Subaru instead of the next WRC , that new smokescreen is indeed a pointless repaint/remold. But since G1 had three Datsuns, namely Smokescreen, Prowl and Streak, it would have been only logical to have produced these three as Subarus in BT/Alt. Three versions of the WRC is pointless.
