BotCon '07 Convention Set Preview II: Thundercracker

Recommended Posts

I'm sorry to say this, but you guys got the wrong people to choose the paint for these. This is not a Classics. This is a fanmade repaint to make it look like Thundercracker.

Don't get me wrong, it still looks very nice. But this doesn't fit with Starscream and Ramjet at all... :(

I am sorry, but as much as I want to support botcon, the set has (so far) too much of a kitbash vibe, way too G1, the other classics have more of an homage so the sets wont match

agreed the decals just look too old and arnt at all inkeeping with the updated look of the others. but still atleast they tryed

"tried" to do what? Whoever designed this figure brought nothing new to the table. Anyone with a basic knowledge of the G1 cartoon could have (kit/digi)bashed this figure. Classics Skywarp owns this, no question. I'm still not getting how this is worth the cost, at all.

If they had "updated" the design/colours we'd get people moaning about that too. Can't please everyone.

Well Skywarp has a superior paint than SS IMO. I think this guy would look better next to Skywarp.

This is a painted mock-up, right?

I suspect these will fit in really well with the others once they've been moulded in their correct colours.

After being here for 3 yrs, I'm come to realize no one is happy. These blow the RM guys out of the water. It's like what more can you ask for?.......besides a cheaper price. :tfgrin

thats bull simon,

these guys are gonna make the commercially available seekers look odd, and when you put the whole set on display with the rest of the classics you will notice a frightully different asthetic
