Why won't the Botcon people address the negative reactions by the people who support their industry?

 

Actually, people who support "our" industry i.e. those who attend BotCon, Club members and so on, have asked for top notch exclusives and that is what we are giving them. Also, judging by the rate at which the box sets are selling, I think it is safe to say people are very happy with the offering we are putting forth.

 

 

In other words, "Enough people with more money than sense are buying them that it justifies our asshattery."

It's only a mock-up so here's hoping they do remould the wings.....

 

Dirge and Ramjet's wings are close enough. Thrust is the one who would benefit most from a remold.

Dirge is my fave jet & he needs different wings to Ramjet as much as Thrust does.

I'm glad this has upset people, because it gives me hope that the set will still be availble when I've actually saved up $300.

Actually I've got the money set aside; I could afford it if I want it. But, unless the rest of this set were really totally kickass with remolded wings on Thrust I still won't buy it. Guess I'll just keep using TRU Cyb Starscream as Thrust until I figure out how to KB him just right...

If you remove his tail fins and attatch them to the little flaps on his waist, it looks perfect. There's a thread in the Kitbash forum where someone did it. I forget who.

I see what you're saying but, at the end of the day, it all boils down to who is willing to pay for them. I bet they'll sell out & probably still would sell out at twice the price. I wouldn't buy them at twice the price, but some people would.

Last Year's: $249 for club members; $299 non. Getting a basic, basic, deluxe, deluxe, mega.

 

This year's: $279 for club members; $329 for non-members. Getting a deluxe, deluxe, deluxe, deluxe, and very likely mega.

 

 

So getting a set of bigger toys for the convention, with only slight increase in price, and people are pissing and moaning. Like this the first time it's ever happened.

Should anyone have expected anything other than this? Yeah, it's a rip off. I think it is unfair to the convention-goers and club members.
