That's not the only QC issue I've noticed with Rumble. I got mine today, and there's very obvious cross-hatched scratches on one of his windows. They were clearly done intentionally by some factory worker, but the product was packaged and sold regardless. Nevermind the fact that his head is clearly visible CHILLING IN THE BACK SEAT X-Brawn style, and Ravage has a European license plate for some bizarre reason. These just aren't up to the usual Alt standards at all, and if I were to guess I'd say Takara had zero involvement in designing them.

Yeah, I noticed that about Rumble--not the number (I don't care about that, I care about the toy)--that his head was sitting in the backseat. Didn't notice that until I transformed it. Mine didn't have any significant scratches, but mine did lack a driver's side reflection (the mirror was there, but no silver. That's why I wanted to get these in store to inspect them, you never know what you're going to get from ebay or online.

I just found these guys today and I love them...They have a few quirks that I'd like to improve on, but I am just happy to have them.

Not the best note for Alternators to end on, but it could've been worse. The more and more I tinker with them, the more I get confused as to who's the best out of those two. At first it was Ravage, but Rumble is slowly climbing the ladder here.

 

Both are insanely easy to transform, it's just that their joints are needlessly overtightened.

Wait a sec...I thought Rumble's back weapons were chromed. Are they just black? Did hasbro skip the chroming process again?

They're chromed, but the barrels are black. Ravage, on the other hand, is severely lacking in the chrome dept. While they did chrome most of the missiles, they left his tailpipes the same crappy grey plastic they used for his interior, which looks like ass in both cases. So far I prefer Rumble.

Yep, his guns are chromed, but the barrels are black. Also his pile drivers and tailpipe are chromed..likewise with Ravage he has Chromed missles and hubcaps.And really impressive articulation for an alternator. Way more than I expected him to have.

Yeah, they're both pretty good figures. Rumble's pile drivers are chromed, with the bottom seemingly on mine being a different shade. one thing I find curious is that they can't touch the floor.

 

Also, is it just me or do his weapons/car parts just lie in the trunk/hood or do they attach onto something to hold them down?

 

I might as well say this, but I think Hasbro will surely come out with a repaint called Frenzy. I mean, why not? Look at how everybody is clamoring to get these two.
