PRIMUS

WE WANT PRIMUS AND JHIAXUS, NO MORE REPAINTS.

AND NEW TAKES ON G1 CHARACTERS.

KUP, TECHNOBOTS, WHEELIE ETC..

AND GESTALTS WITH ARTICULATION.

EHHH, FORGET WHEELIE.. :tfpuke

If they take it the next step, then 3-4-5 figure combiners would make sense, or maybe some kind of increase in minicon interaction. Battle armor or something.

Cotto, we're never going to get away from repaints. They're one "gimmick" that HasTak will never get sick of.

Considering that Prime has been a "prototype" of the next line (Armada Prime could powerlink, now the Autobots powerlink), I think we will see some kind of battle armor concept.

In an allspark interview, a former Hasbro designer basically said that basics that transform into weapons/armor are the most likely to be the next step, and I tend to agree. The concept has definate potential.

But I think that regardless of what is done, there will be some kind of customization concept will be utilized.

Personally i would love to see certain "legends" i.e: primus, a cyclonus that looks similar to the original, jazz, alpha trion, and SOUNDWAVE!!! (come home we miss you), things like that. The name cybertron just screams legends. I would love to see triple changers and more battle armor (like landmine and bulkhead). But hey, whats the likely hood of us getting what we, the older fans, want?

I think we might see something more along the lines of special Matrix attack features in Optimus/Rodimus.... Just in the lines of how Energon has been progressing with it's G1 tributes, I almost expect to see Rodimus gain the matrix in the season finale to become Rodimus Prime and lead in the new series, at least for awhile.

But who knows, maybe they'll do the completely unexpected, and issue figures with no gimmicks other than they can transform. If there's been one complaint about the powerlinking autobots is that sacrifices were made to the general figure to impliment the powerlinking, they could just take out all the extra gimmicks and focus on making the individual toys the best they possibly could. But since that's not likely, and the kids have grown up and seem to be taking actual roles instead of being in the way, we could potentially see a new Masters series with the core group of characters. As far as that goes, I hope not, but it is a possibility.

I'm hoping for either WWI-inspired alt modes. The basics making armor feature sounds pretty cool too. Conisidering you can already make basics into unofficial arms for Landmine, why not make it official?
