Not much of a kitbash, actually...I just want to swap the wheels with those from a Hot Wheels car and was wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to take apart the Hot Wheels?

Urgh... haven't taken a close look at a Hot Wheels lately, but if I remember the die cast top os pretty much "welded" to the bottom by having the peg slightly melted and stretched.

 

If you want the Hot Wheels intact, I don't know how you'd do it. If you don't, dremel that puppy apart or simply use a strong flathead to pry it apart and break the plastic underbelly.

Take a drill bit and drill out the rivit head. it should let the car come apart fairly easy.

 

You can even swap wheels and put it back together again, use hotglue through the peg holes.
