Ya know, classics was supposed to be my swan song, no more toys after that... but then I see things like this... I never have been a big fan of any Ironhide toy till now... I must get that monster of justice! :tflaugh

the coolness of these toys has basically turned me off to all things t!t & classic. :tflaugh

Realistic alt modes with what looks like alt complexity & kickass bot modes.

I am so broke this Summer. :redface

more shots. looks even better now! just an awesome and tough look. then when you compare him to Alt Optimus Prime, you just laugh. Prime was terrible. THIS is how a pickup truck transformer can look badass!

will be buying this one! oh yes

It is funny just how much of what we perceive of a robot's personality is in the face... I bet if you stuck G1 heads on all the movieformers there would be zero complaining about anything.

I've wondered the same thing.

Aside from Prime, it appears that Jazz is probably going to be the only other one who's head vaguely resembles his G1 self.

There'd still be some, but yeah, that would pretty much remove the majority of the complaints, Pete. I'd also say overall color is less important, as evidenced by all the love for the green Rolling Thunder Optimus Prime. If it convincingly suits the character then it works. I've often thought that Ironhide can passably be black; it looks decent on him.

    • Haters are as common as air. Ironic, they act like children. YES! I thought the same thing when I saw the Cheetor sword.
    • I was reading some of the comments after the Rise of the Beast toy reveals and was taken aback. I could not believe the amount of hate I was seeing. It's not like it was the Studio Series stuff either though, it's literally the stuff for the kids specifically and not also for the collectors. They're not even that bad though. I'm getting all those Weaponizers and the Weaponizers that come with the larger figures, I'll be getting them too. I'll also be getting the Spark Armor style figures. It's nice that they learned from the Cyberverse releases and use the robot's arms as the armored forms arms instead of trying to make unarticulated arms from the armor piece but it's just a shame that the base figures are now worse overall than either size Spark Armor base figure from Cyberverse. But the price reflects this. More complicated armors with less complicated base figures for $20 which was right in between the prices for the two sizes from Cyberverse. The smaller, core class looking figure look pretty good too even if they lack some articulation. That Rhinox in particular looks real good. Back to the Weaponizers though, is it just me or do they remind anyone else of better designed Arms Microns from Takara's Prime line?
    • Finally getting around to looking at ole Red Cog, and perhaps he might work better with Fortress Maximus, or Grand Maximus. BUT, the real fun here is seeing what accessories go with whom! It adds just a little more to so many characters! https://youtu.be/FPntST2aqgs
    • I 100% agree. I am always taken a bit by surprise by the amount of hate that spews from some of the fans. It's like they have no ability to pick and choose if they actually want to spend the money on something or not. I have really been loving the little dinobots despite their flaws. And yes! I have my Grimstone  on display and can't wait to have 2 dinobot combiners.
