I thought this reissue was going to use the Soundblaster mold so you could put 2 tapes in it.

I would strongly advise against tampering with his knees... he had a tendency to get floppy legs back in the day, and I'm sure the mold isn't any tighter 20-some years later.

The Japanese reissue fixed that problem, both the reissue Soundwave and Soundblaster toys I have stand up straight. The original Soundwave I got back in '84 stood up straight... once. After transforming him only two or three times, he was forever a leaner. :redface Haven't had that issue with either reissue yet, though. :thumb

IMO he's gotta be better than what Hasbro crapped out for T!T Soundwave.

 

Never had a Soundwave & with reissued Gehy 1 cassetes this one is pretty close to the top of my list.

All lonely by himself on the shelf there so I rescued him, w00t!

Very nice re-issue, I love him.

Oh, & my missile launcher doesn't fire either :( lol

 

ps. is everybody else's label sheet in Japanese? It's the only thing that is :S

Yeah, I hear the excitement on this board! Getting mine the other day was what motivated to register here. I was surprised at how cool it looks in person. I was kinda skeptical about the packaging looking at the pics on Ebay (I live 90 minutes from the nearest TRU), but once I saw it I really liked it.
