Takara To Produce No More MP Primes.

Hey guys. Ya this shocked the hell out of me when I saw the press release but now that I had some time to think it over it all makes sence. I mean Hasbro and Takara released MP Prime as part of the big TF Anniversary so it makes sence not to keep production going. However I have heard nothing that Hasbro is going to stop production on their version so they might keep theirs on the shelves for awhile. But Takaras version will be a bigger collectable now that production will stop and no more will be made. So I'm glad I bought it when I did.

True, but for those of you still planning to get the American release, I'd be wondering about the recent price reduction.... I've only ever seen 20th Prime on two occasions, and I picked him up on the second. Good thing I did, from the sound of things. I would hate to be reduced to going on eBay for it...

My wal-marts have shelves full of 20 prime (though I am glad i got my MP and my 20th a long time ago) so I imagine I'll see another price drop soon.

However I have heard nothing that Hasbro is going to stop production on their version so they might keep theirs on the shelves for awhile.

It wouldn't surprise me if Hasbro has already stopped production. Although there are a couple of stores in my area that still have one or two 20ths, most never restocked following their initial shipment.

They're not going to spend all that time and money developing a toy like this then shelv it forever.

It will be back sometime, maybe with a slight change some

Or maybe they actually want this figure to be a genuine collectible.

Hasbro production will likely continue for awhile yet, they've still got the European market to produce for, but the production for the US is likely nearing a close if it hasn't already.

It would be nice if they did a MP every 6 months or so that would make me a happy man. My walet would hate it but I'd love it or even if it was just one a year. But these are just dreams it probably won't happen

That's about right.

Not wanting to sound bitter or anything but at least the figure was released where you live. If you haven't got it at least you can go down the road and get it.

Here in the UK we haven't seen it and judging by the way we only got about 20% of the re-issues, we won't either.

To buy it in, well, because it's so heavy and expensive, by the time it is shipped and UK customs add their 17.5% tax on it, it racks in at about $175.

In fact, this is how little Hasbro in the UK thinks of the whole TF product line.

I was going to ask them if there is a plan to release MP-01 here in the UK, they have an "Ask Hasbro" part of their website site.

The second box down says "select toy line".

Transformers isn't in that list.

Anyone know for sure if it's going to hit the UK...before I think of remortgaging :-)

Yours bitter and twisted (and wondering what he could do for a living if he moved to Hong Kong)

Tony :grr

MP Convoy has never been released in the US either, here we have Hasbro's 20th Prime, so I guess bugging Hasbro to release MP convoy in the UK won't work. Sorry! :tflaugh Doesn't any UK dealer carry it at all? Just order it online if you need it really bad...
