Welcome!

While I haven't used anything myself, I hear Epoxy is some good stuff to use. Anyone wanna help me out on this one?

You'd get better advice in the kitbashing forum, so ima move this over there. :)

Yeah, what Frapp said. Any sort of epoxy works well, especially the industrial kind. You can get that at pretty much any hardware store out there.

Modeling contour putty works for small things like filling in gaps or even putting faceplates of figures that need them (Energon Prime for example :nuts ) but it's not good for building large features because it will crumble easy.

I've also found that regular old hot glue can work in a pinch. it's easy to carve and shape and if you mess it up you can usually snap it off easily. Although I'd only use that for lack of epoxy :nuts

The standard modelling clays are usually an Epoxy-based one, Sculpey, or Milliput. I believe Sculpey needs to be baked to fully cure. At that point it can be sanded and fine details can be etched into it. Milliput I believe air dries, but is a bit more rubbery when it dries, so it's harder to sand. I don't have personal experience with either, so I'm not sure if I'm accurate. I'm pretty certain about the Sculpey, but not so much about the Milliput. Don't have a clue about the Epoxy putty.

Yeah, Sculpy has to be baked to firm up all the way...I'd rather not shove a custom piece in the oven if I can help it :nuts

I've made molds of Gen 1 OP's gun out of sculpy. But thats about it.I haven't had a chance to work with epoxy yet.

I'm sorry, your phrasing there was just funny :P.

Haha, here is a pic, maybe it explains more when mixed it becomes green. The first time I was looking around in a shop for green stuff, I couldn't find it, thinkig it was green :)
