WST Custom Boxes...

Recommended Posts

I've seen a load of custom boxes on ebay both by themselves and including the figures... but I was wondering if anyone here actually makes them, or if I can get them for the bootleg wst figures? I've just brought Black Starscream, Ghost Starscream, Thundercracker and clear blue Prime with his trailor... and I also own see-thru Thunder Cracker and Skywarp, as well as bootleg Skywarp, and I wanted to package them all up for display. I've also noticed that the majority of boxes don't come with plastic inserts to hold the figures, which would be a problem for the bootlegs, as they just come in bags... is there a store online that sells boxes that will ship to the UK?

can anyone throw some knowledge my way? Cheers fellas!

I spoke to him and he's got a nice range, and it looks like he can cater for all the bootleg WSTs I've brought... only thing is though, he doesn't make the plastic inserts... does anyone know anyone who can make them and/or sells them?

If you wanted to be G1-accurate you could get some styrofoam and dremel it out.

Actually alot of G1 figures came in plastic bubbles too.

And as for making such, you could always make your own. I'm pretty sure if you got some bubbles off other toys you could use a hairdryer to soften them up, mold them loosely around the figure, then let them cool to harden. Might take some practice to figure out the right temps and such to prevent melting, but I know its possible to do.

Do you know how much of a mess that makes? It also doesnt work that well. Did I mention the mess. I tired it for a spare boxed figure I had and it got everywhere and I was careful, my cats had foam stuck to them for a good week.

does anyone know if there's a place to get full g1 box scans online? I'm actually a graphic designer, and i've been toying with the idea of recreating the boxes myself, but i'm too busy atm to be able to... maybe i'll give it a go in the summer, but right now i wanna go with the option with the least ammount of hassle.
