The place I work (can't tell ya, sorry) has started to block ebay.

Well, I've found 1 way around it.... go to www.ebay.co.uk and i can log in and search for US items etc... but does anyone know of another way around it?

I tried getting access with just the IP instead of the name "ebay.com"...

didn't know if anyone knew of a redirect site or something...

Wow, that sucks! :tdown

If it wasn't for ebay, my days at work would be such a drag.

I had an old job that did that...I think I would do an MSN search for it then go through that way...

Blot it probably wont be long b4 that happens to me!!! I am addicted though, 12 hour days will be hell

My work have done the same - except they have blocked the word ebay from any url...

Any countries ebay can be logged into from anywhere - so if they block UK, try canada/germay etc :)

Try, I don't know, working??????

If they have a poxy server, your activities are monitored and any eBay addresses can be filtered and blocked. If your network administrator is any good, all your eBay activities will come to a halt (at work, that is). If network security is not as tight, you may be able to still acess eBay with your workaound.

I do work moron... but during lunch, breaks... and a random surfing is allowed...

It's not blocked at my work... it's blocked at the downtown area where the whole state system gets it internet connection...

it's not the firewall guys here in the building... they log everything and don't care... it's the jerks downtown that are cuttin us out.
