My Classics Grimlock & Mirage arrived from BBTS today. I pre-ordered Grimmy ages ago, and just tagged Mirage on as an afterthought, but I think I like him *gasp!* more than Grimlock (who is the only TF I have displayed in alt mode). along with Bumblebee & Starscream, I love how they have made these toys to look as I remember the originals looked when I was 10, if that makes sense!

Classics is the best TF line in 20 years *wipes nostalgic tears from eyes*. Thank you Hasbro/Takara.

Pics?

So far i'm slightly bummed by mirage, he's not much more than i've seen from rid and earlier, but then i remind myself that it's rather hard to work with a simple design like an indy racer.

The only gripes I have as far as Mirage is concerned is the tiny head and the hunchback appearance. I don't know if I should call him Mirage or Igor.

With that said, he's also the most fluid and flexible figure I think I've ever seen. The good in this case is far better than the bad.

Hopefully I'll find Grimmy soon. HTS emailed me saying that they won't be able to ship mine til 12/1 at the earliest. Knowing the way Hasbro estimates things it could end up being weeks beyond that before they actually do. :wtf

I would have posted some pics, but these and these pretty much covered it...

I've found mirage, but no Grimlock yet. Maybe later today, if I'm lucky.

Mirage gives me a transmutate vibe.

Finally had a minute or two to take some piccies:

Alt mode only, 'cos I love it so much, I don't want to change it...

And just for the hell of it, a couple of Mirage:

Aaaw, the hell with it, whilst I'm in the mood, a comparison with G2 Grimmy...

Boy and I have yet to find anyone past Bumblebee and Starscream. :roll

The detailing on Mirage looks pretty good, and Grimlock looks a hella lot more impressive than his Energon counterpart. Though I really like the new approach to Grimlock how well does he stack up against to Cybertron Trex Megatron? That mold surprisingly blew me away. The size for a deluxe is impressive in itself. Is Grimlock equal in size/hieght or smaller. Some comparison pics would be appreciated if anybody has both.

Thanks.

Mirage is the greatest non-Alternator/Masterpiece toy ever. I bought Aaron Archer a beer at Botcon because of all the Mirage love this year...I owe him another 5 after playing with Classics Mirage. Aaron deserves at least a 6-pack for it...

Grimlock is probably my least favorite Classic so far....I don't like how his shoulders connect to the torso or the black collar part doesn't seem to lock into the shoulders despite appearing like it should...
