SW:TF New Waves?? when are they due out?

I dont think the Jedi Starfighter is that bad.

It would be better if the wings were segmented, like part of them attached to the legs, part on the arms, and some piece on the back.

so as a Giant imobile robe of doom - they are kinda awkward. Other than that the starfighter is a solid figure IMO.

He's also the most poorly proportioned of them all. Even the X-wing, which has arguably worse kibble, pulls off his twig-legs and mini-arms better than the Jedi Fighter manages that bubble of a torso. Also, with those thick, level wings, his alt mode is less accurate, making him look worse next to the near model accuracy of most of the others.

He admittedly was hindered by the fact that he was a first-wave release. The designs improved with each wave thereafter.

I feel the SW guys are overpriced. There's no way they should be $15 bucks. They should have started with $10 deluxes and built up from there.

I do own two of these guys. The original vader and darth maul. They both have a very cheap feel to them, especially considering their price. Maul's not to bad though. I always feel they could have done more with his kibble in bot mode. Vader is a horrible looking mess.

The Falcon does look tempting, but the price is an issue for me. I'm waiting to find it on clearance. The Wal-Mart south of me had to have 50 of these guys clogging an endcap for 3 months. Hopefully I can find him cheap after the Christmas rush :eplus

The clone fighter one is pretty cool, has nice big guns. For me the worst was Grevious, has no stabilty and limbs pops out to easily

besides - hes Grevious and all.

kinda POS in either mode - no matter what you do with him.

Yeah, but he is pretty much spot on in either mode save the 2nd set of arms. I'll agree with you on the Jedi Starfighter and the Falcon though. I'm awaiting this new vader as I passed on the first two colorings of this mold. I like Maul a lot; while he does feel a bit rubbery he has really good posability and looks good in both modes. I absolutly despise the the X-wing, Darths fighter and Slave1. Darth looks like a midnight club dancer while While Boba is ready to give birth and I'm not even getting started on luke. I feel this series has been about 50/50.
Actually Grevious spent part of the movie with only one set of arms; he only split them when he drew his sabers. So he's accurate enough there, too.

Now, what exactly is wrong with Tie-advanced Vader again? Sure, the wing makes a poor cape and the neck is set a little high on that domed windshield, but other that those details he's pretty much spot-on with the movies. Where does this 'midnight club dancer' thing come in?

You know - it maybe nostalgia since i am the THE perfect gheybo SW age.

but the X-Wing is so Ugly that it has a certain charm.

The Darth Maul Figure is decent enough but i just dont feel anything for either mode. PT Characters really suck my will to live. Anyway hes not akurate cause he doesnt come apart at the waist!

And i just want to reiterate - the Maquerrie head on the new vader!

WooT!

I think he was referring to the implied Bling and the lanky bellbottom look...

My biggest problem with Vader and the X-Wing is that the ships are compromised by "bot detailing" rather than have it hidden or have the bots have Ship kibble.

This is why the Jedi Starfighter, Emperor, and Falcon all work so well for me.

emperor would suck if they made the ship look like a wrinkly old man and not the other way around.

My biggest problem with Vader and the X-Wing is that the ships are compromised by "bot detailing" rather than have it hidden or have the bots have Ship kibble.
I dunno how you're transforming him, but my Luke has ship kibble up the wazoo (-literally: that's where the canopy is). :D

Myself I can handle a little underside bot-kibble; it's common on mainline TFs too, after all. These guys are pretty much pure ship from an upper view, at least.

And what's this about a "Maquerrie head" on the new vader? I hadn't heard that there was anything special about him.

The original Ralph Mquarrie Concept art had a kinda longer pointier head than what the Vader Head became.

The new Rebel Starfigheter mold has that longer pointier head sculpt

which i think is neat for a PT version of the character.

I heard a rumor that Hasbro was polling kids on their favorite TFs for the new movie and when a number of kids replied "Darth Vader", people at Hasbro became concerned that SWTF was damaging their brand identity and pulled the plug in anticipation of the movie.
