The 20th Anniversary edition TFTM on DVD

Recommended Posts

So, will the DVD released next Tuesday come with the original animation and the remastered or strictly/only the remastered.

Personally, I find the "remastered" footage far too bright, and I much prefer the darker original look.

Thanks for any info

How 'bout we all just wait until it comes out and watch it or something? Jeez

It is a lot brighter-looking... which is not what I'm used to, but then again all I ever saw was video/DVD transfers of the film. I never saw it in the theaters.

Bottom line is, I can get used to it. Especially since the image is so much clearer, like amazingly clearer.

not to mention the brightness can be adjusted. the only thing i'm bummed about his how much they cropped it. they had to crop it down for a widescreen version, and then did the dumb thing and cut the widescreen version even more for a fullscreen when they could have just used the original o_O

other than that i'm uber excited and can't wait. i've got an original dvdrip, and can't wait to actualy buy TFTM for once.

Oh did they really crop it down more for the "full screen"?

Me? I don't mind, I have a wide screen TV so it'll be awesome having a widescreen copy.

i think somebody over at TFW mentioned it in the thread about receiving it early...
