Sorry, gonna' have to agree to disagree on this one, Original is best.

Hope you mean character, and not the toy. And I'd disagree with you there, too.

Apart from looking somewhat like an underdetailed/inaccurate F-15 model, the toy was a poorly proportioned brick that was, once again, horribly underdetailed, transformed very little, that you practically just had to pull apart and put back together again. The seeker mold is probably one of the worst molds to come out of the '84, '85 line.

G1 Starscream's character was better than that of Armada; maybe not so much for Energon, but the toy's got nothing on the Armada and Energon incarnations. The G1 Starscream toy was just too far out of proportion, whereas the Armada and Energon 'screams have more features-and articulation to boot, at least in the case of E. Starscream.

But, I don't think ANY voice actor can compare to Chris Latta's trademark shriek.

I fell in love with Starscream on G1 a lot of years ago; here in Italy Armada's just been transmitted, but only a few episodes. Anyway, I'm buying the comics, the last one is number 7, and he's on the cover. Well, G1's liik was nice, but this one is simply gorgeus and deadly sexy, you just can't imagine how I'd like to use a tin-opener on all that metal…

p.s.: I own G1 toy; Armada's new here really costs a lot!

:eek at Flanny

Anyways, I had Armada Starscream and I liked his toy figure but I dunno, I guess I got caught up in Energon and preferred the E-Starscream version.

Armada Starscream in the Transformers Game on PS2 was a joke though, unlike some of the other bosses who seemed to take combat more seriously. and didn't just fly around in the sky like a big fat target.

Cool sword and F1 racer for a minicon made up for it.

Energon hasn't been transmitted here, yet, and sincerely I don't know if it will. Tv channels here don't pay much attention at transmitting the complete series, expecially for cartoons java script:add_smilie(%22:(%22)

Finding strange these "get him down and show a couple of nice things to do with all that energy surplus" thoughts? Well, I suppose it must be all my father's talkings of "How sext a Porsche Carrera design can be"'s fault… java script:add_smilie(%22:tftounge%22)

Or maybe it's just that when you dream, you don't have necessarly to dream about flesh… and 'Scream's really dreamy!

By the ways, his name here in Italy was Astrum (I still think of him like that, actually); do you like it?

Astrum?? hmm, interesting. Sounds like it could fit him ;)

For the toy I actually liked the alt mode for A-SS best in comparison to E-SS and G1 SS. I like the size and the design IMO was excellent. But I will agree it would've been nice for them to fold back the back of the plane in bot mode. Additional articulation would've been nice, but on his own I still like him, reminds me of the old Macross die-cast toys. Stiff but enjoyable. :Dc

As for character I think G1 has great qualities and I agree the talented voice actor Chris Lattas contribution to both G1 tv and TF:TM are priceless! :thumb However from what I've read about A-SS thus far, the younger version seemed to be discovering himself and developing loyalties. G1 SS is the original so I just accepted the toy as he was, experimental and still in the stiff mode. All the same (while I never had him, I had Thrust and other seekers), I think the G1 SS toy and character had great qualities.

As for E-SS, I question how much more they are doing to develop or muddle with this ghost thing, it is getting overused. The toy has great articulation, but I dislike the size, he is puny in comparison to G1 and A.

Lastly, I wonder what caused SS to change so much from A to E series, and finally into the G1 version most of us know.
