Actually, it was pretty clear what they were getting at:

 

1. Should we start churning out TF-related merchandise?

2. Are the Transformers improving with each new version, or not? (RiD was the logical place to start b/c that was the return to the current formula Hasbro's using.)

3. Are the Alternators worth it for us to keep developing?

 

IMO the last question is the most significant. It does make you wonder, if they're even asking about that. Of course when they stock the shelves with nothing but the two Alternators that have already been out since January... I think they're in danger of losing a lot of fan interest. A couple of months ago, I probably would have bought anything that said "Alternators" on the box. But now I'm kinda like, whatever. I'm excited about Jazz (er, Meister), and I do hope they recolor Dead End as Sunstreaker, but beyond that...

You're right about what they're getting at, but I don't think you're right about fan interest in Alternators. As long as they keep putting out product of the quality or higher than they have been, I'll buy it no matter when it comes out.

 

It takes a long time to develop these things, get the car companies licence, and then design the figure. I would rather they take their time and do it right. If they only release 6 this year, I'll be just as interested next year.

Well, since they allow multiple entries of the survey, I know that I personally will be going in as many times as I can. Maybe if they see how many adult collectors they service they will start to pay some attention to us!

Which is exactly why I broke down and got the BT Hound. Sure it was $30 more, but I just sold my old Jeep for cash, ya think Im gonna keep pining for this guy for endless more months when I can go right to Evilbay and bag him right now? Nope.
