I got mine, not from tfsource but from A3U in a trade. The tenticles move and the base lights up. The detail is amazing, best paint apps ive seen in a loooong time mine has 0 flaws. This was worth the trade I made with spence.

meh non transforming transformer toys give me hives

Besides, a figure with THREE heads called a QUINTesson ("quint" being a latin root meaning five) is just uber-GHEY.

That was just the limitations of the toy at work. The show gave him five (4 core heads, and the shelled mode). More specifically, though, the character was represented more as having five personas, with the four main, fractured ones represented by the spinning faces, with a fifth emerging as a more unified one.

I would love to see an offical Quint with 5 faces, the aliens like headed one, and the switch flipper guy.

Gimmie them and throw in a deluxe Sharkticons and basic sized Alligatorcons with Wheelie, all in a theme'D classics box set.

Oh and throw Kranix in there too.

Call it the "the Sharkticon Pit" and sell it at Leader price.

Energon Alpha Quint....more like energon Alpha Triplicate...

...now if only the heads could rotate like they did in TF: TM, it would be worth the $75 to me...

well see energon alpha quint was more than a round ball of heads on a stick. it actualy have moveable arms and heads that spin.

While you are correct, the flaw in your logic is that the GEEWUN Quintessons were round balls of heads on a stick. Okay, maybe not on a stick per se, but the "stick" is transparent plastic that lights up to emulate the energy beams the cartoon Quints used to levitate, so it's a fair model IMO. Energon alpha quint was just a lame attempt at "updating" something from the old G1 movie that really shouldn't have been updated. Besides, a figure with THREE heads called a QUINTesson ("quint" being a latin root meaning five) is just uber-GHEY.

So, in short, this figure, even at $75, is far superior to the abomination that was Energon Alpha Quintesson.

GEEWUN FO' LIF3!!!!!!!!1!!!!11!!!!! :wave :usa :tflaugh

While the toy had three heads, the actual character on the show had five if I recall correctly. It's obvious that they couldn't make him a true Quint for the toy model due to budgeting and the Energon line was already coming to a close with this as a last minute addition before introducing Cybertron (considering some of the fandom, myself included, were already importing some of the GF figs that we didn't want to see Hasbro screw up, though with the exception of Starscream and Vector Prime, I was actually pleasantly surprised with the quality of most of the figures and decided to go with Cybertron for most of them the rest of the way.
