Yeah mine sits at the bottom of my collection, complete without box or any inserts, and missing spike. I have come really close to buying one off of ebay, but I just cant make myself spend that much on something so small.

 

But he stands with a less then complete scorponok on the bottom shelf.

I........just couldn't leave a Fort Max MISB. Granted, he'll probably go for close to 8-10K in a few years if MISB ones still exist, so there's potential value increase there, but man........

Oh yes, Brave Maximus is nice too and easier on your finances. :thumb However personally I did not like the colors in comparison to the G1 version.

 

JABoyle3875, I've always wanted Fortress Maximus to play with, which is what I do use him for. But I also want one MISB to preserve as well, saldy, I missed out on the last one that sold on evilbay. There was another one that had the original box it was shipped in so the FM box itself was still encased in pristine condition. That auction went quite high to say the least. :eek

better watch out bringing up the potential of a figures future value here. some people get really freaky about that!

i guess having an interest in value is highly offensive to those who only collect for the "love" of them. mention value, and to them you're only in it for the money (no matter what you say to the contrary). i guess it's just not right to do both.

I know that Unicron is bigger and I am suprised he's not a larger toy or as tall as Fort Max, cause he's still bigger today.

Because Unicron at that scale would be hugely impractical. Nobody these days produces action figures that big, because the production costs would be too high. Packaging/shipping/materials, the whole shebang. And of course, there's also the fact that Unicron is articulated. At 2 feet tall, the joints would probably suffer due to the weight, and he'd be a floppy pile of crap.

I could have gotten Fort Max, but at the time I had too many big Autobots, and no big Decepticons to fight 'em. So I got Scorponok instead. See I had Omega Supreme, Metroplex, and Jetfire. Oh yeah, I still own all my original Transformers, except for a few that were stolen. Most are all mint and their boxes are darn near perfect. I was very Outback about my Transformers, even as a kid. Should have gotten Fort Max though. I think it was something like 85$ at Toys R Us. Oh well.
