Actually starscream's front wheel transformation is actually shown in his instructions (though not emphasized to any particular degree).

Yeah, I had to break out the instructions for the landing gear. I was all excited when I was taking him out of the package, started looking on the nose under the cockpit, searched around a little more then broke down to look at the instructions. Oh well, at least it keeps the paint safe from scratches in alt form.

i stumbled upon rodimus's waist too. This is not really a discovery, but I'm not too much of a fan of rodimus's gun, so I just left it on his back. It works well as a jet pack. Makes sense, jet engine in vehicle=jet engine in bot. These classics are great.
