Could be old news. I wasn't expecting to find him but he was stashed in the top cubbard at my local Toys R Us, he was priced at $89.99. I didn't buy him, the recorded voice sucks, not even the original voice from the movie, just quotes taken from the movie. The price tag in the pic is of sumtin else.

Oh wow. I need to check my TRU out tomorrow. I really want this one. I know that it's just a repaint or whatever, but the red looks a lot better on this version. Plus, it's soooooo clean. :drool

Yeah, he's definitely more "cartoon" like in his paint job.

Can someone explain why this one is substantially more expensive than the original? Also, why couldn't they just use audio from the film?

reason A:

new prime has no scarring or burn marks to make for 'battle damage' apparently tighter construction from what I've seen.

a new paint job on the rifle

a new set of decals for his comunicator, aparently its Megatron and a data wave panel now.

the base stand.

reason B: .....bad audio copies?

So... it's almost $20 more than 20th OP because they used different paint? Thanks for clearing that up.

They couldn't use the original sound clips because of some kind of royalty dispute with Sony (who owns Peter Cullen)

Really, even though it would just be lines lifted from TF: The Movie? Now that is wonky.

It would have been nice if they at least brought in David Kaye to say the lines.

kuz it's TRU?

89.99 @ TRU

69.99 @ HTS

TRU's always more expensive on toys, it's freaking retarded.
