Classics Transformers

Great thread! I believe my 20-year hiatus from collecting Transformers is about to come to an end, starting with Bumblebee.

Bumble Bee is the Best Figure From the First Wave. I hate to say it but Astrotrain is the worest. Megs is ok, Prime, Rodimus and Starscream are good. Bumblebee is Awsome. Cybertron Felt better to the touch tho. These figures feel a lil flimsey :(

Good reviews, nice pics. I would personally rank all of the Decepticons above the Autobots as my favorites, led by Megatron, but that's like saying triple chocolate cake is better than double chocolate cake. I love them all!

I would vote the best alt mode to Megatron, and the best robot mode to...crap....well, they are all awesome.

Astrotrain was one of my favorite G1 toys, so I give him a bit of slack.....he's got the only really annoying part, in that I have trouble getting his hands out of the nose of the train without a bunch of strain on the figure.

This IS a line where I will be a completist, save for the crap minicons and LOC figures....even to the point where I will break my no repaints rule because Skywarp just looks so damn awesome. I will squeal like a little girl with joy, if they do end up doing the rest of the Dinobots and the Predacons as rumored. I'd take the dinobots over the Predacons, though.

I like this line so much, I might even buy some of the Minicons just to congratulate Hasbro. Well, and the beast ones are kinda neat. And yeah, I'm definitely forsaking any previous distaste for repaints, because all repaints so far have been pretty great (I am even a fan of the Devastator). I'll only be skeptical if, say, they try something like repainting Astrotrain and trying to pass it off as Blitzwing. *shudder*

Man. You -gotta- get the REDNECK PATROL.

It has Gravedigger and the frikkin' General Lee in it.

Also: you could kitbash an Astrotrain to make an Octane.

I hate to say it but Astrotrain is the worest.

I thought he Starscream was the worst of the bunch.

That was so entertaining. I really like the Laserbeak shot

I can imagine Starscream really saying that.

It's too bad the Cons are a hair taller than Bumblebee.

So would you say they're worth paying almost £100 for the first six while waiting for any more or would it be better to wait for Hasbro UK to get it's act together, plus UK shops that bother to sell TF's at all, and hopefully release them here, hopefully in full.

-`'~.

I picked up Rodimus yesterday and I'm actually rather disappointed. His QC is absolutely Blote. His parts don't line up right in car mode and he won't hold together, there's visible "flash" where parts look like they were just ripped from the sprue, and on his left side where the tab on the door/arm fits into the hip/skirt section in car mode it's damaged with visible stress-marks where it looks like he was knocked around in shipping and tried to come apart. Seriously, he looks like crap. Sad thing is, where I got him, he was the best of the 2 they had. Anyone else had any of these problems?
