Clsc BB next to Alt.

Recommended Posts

He's way too small. In their alt modes it'd been even more noticable.

Honestly, who's going to display BB in his alt mode?

Not true - I am working on a KB using a C-Red alert and a 1:24 '69 Beetle.

the old beetle is about the size of a deluxe.

Looks to me like Bumblebee was originally meant for the alt line. The size comparison is damn near perfect. :thumb

Compare the size of the seats on BumbleBee to the size of the seats on an Alt.

I gotta agree, that size comparison really does work well.

How can you get a BB without a Starscream?

(sic)

OBSCURE REFERENCE'D!

All I wanna comment on is the I hate it when I see pics of the RX-8 molds Heel under his toe. (Looks dumb IMO)

While I'm here though I'll say, BB is a great looking Almost Alt fig but I dont think he should be concidered one. Unless they make Deluxe sized Alts. Then hell yeah, he's an alt.

Perhaps... but compare the size of seats on a 69 beetle to the size of the seats in a Dodge ram and you will also note a discrepancy.

I think its clear that CL-BB is NOT and ALTERNATOR. In fact i have him now - and his transformation is really really simple - but also fun and satisfying. which is not how i would describe any of my alternators.

Also the type of car he represents is not nearly as small as the 69-Beetle.

However- the over all basic size of a Deluxe does match the basic size of the 1:24 beetle. So robot modes in scale would be pretty close.

As small as BB is supposed to be, he looks almost as tall as the other deluxe Classics figure. I don't think he even is a Beetle anymore. Alt or not, he looks great next to his "Alt" comrades and I like displaying him as such. I'll do the same to CJ when he comes out.

I'll get him and Cliffjumper, Cliffjumper is gonna get soe paint though, not a fan of the silver flame stuff they have on him in the pics from Botcon.

The reason BB looks like an Alt is to make us Fans happy. Since they couldn't secure the VW license they more than likely thought it would be cool to give us something to satisfy the desire we got by looking at the BT sketches.
