Soundblaster, my newest acquisition

Recommended Posts

Well, I just got this in the mail today. It's a totally real, not reissue Soundblaster.

Now, when I saw the auction pic, I thought it came with a Buzzsaw from a Soundwave, since the one in the pic was only shown in tape mode, and didn't have the infamous sticker.

Now, upon closer inspection, I realize it is a real one, for a couple of reasons. There is hole where the sticker would be missing that shows the tape detail on a regular Soundwave. On, a SB BS, this would be the pic of Fort Max, and then right under that, is where a rub sign would be. If you look closely, there is residue on mine from where a rubsign is missing also. So, instead of being a regular BS that is missing its tape sticker, it is a SB BS that is missing both. Technically, this could be a rubsign release BS, but it also has a few other traits. The Buzzsaw that came with SB had copyrights under BOTH wings, an odd 'mohawk' on its head, and an odd Con sticker on its head (inverted colours). Although, none of these are proof its a real one, the fact that it meets all of the qualifications, AND came with a real Soundblaster lead me to believe its true. (prepares for the worst, i.e. Goki telling me I'm wrong). The reissue version also has a different head, although it meets the other requirements (possibly even copyright?).

What makes this cool for me, is that it finishes my tape collection, because although I don't have a Twincast, I do have the Steeljaw which came with him (which wasn't reissued).

Anyway, here's the rub. How do I get the sticker for this? I don't think reprolabels has that particualr sticker. I could buy the reissue, and then sell off the bits I don't need, because tecnically, I need his weapons (he has the battery cover), but their absence doesn't bother me. I'm not about to pay $100 for a reissue, because that is completely stupid in every possible way my brain can comprehend. Does any one out there have:

A-a Buzzsaw w/sticker to sell (reissue okay, probably preferred)

B-a Buzzsaw that they wouldn't mind trading for a vintage G1 one

C-the reissue set to sell (I would sell whats left on the Endcap for a DEEP discount)

According to TFU.info, Soundblaster's Buzzsaw does come with the Fort Max weakness sticker. p.155 in Transformers Generations Deluxe mentions a sticker variation in Soundblaster's Buzzsaw, although it doesn't explain exactly what that variation is - it could be referring to that Fort Max weakness sticker.

I think that reprolabels sell a weakness of fortmax sticker under their upgrades
