:tfhuh Hasbro have reissued Prime and Powermaster Prime.

 

 

I have all the Takara Collection TFs, and they rock. They're all opened, since the boxes are designed to be opened without ripping anything. I was tempted not to get Hot Rod, since I already had the Hasbro version, but the fact that he came with Firebolt, and only cost me 26 quid, I figured what the hell :thumb

for the Takara reissues i have:

Tracks

Megatron

Starscream (anime correct)

Powermaster GodGinrai (Optimus Prime)

 

for the Hasbro TrU reissues i have:

 

Hotrod

Ultra Magnus

Bluestreak

Red alert

Rodimus Prime

 

all are opened and displayed. reissues will never be worth what the originals are, and they look good posing with all my original G1s (you can see my collection in the collectors corner) :tflaugh

I hope Takara releases all the tapes in a bundle package like the did with the minibots. That would be soooo sweet.

On the topic of Takara reissues, where's the cheapest place to find the older reissue of Starscream - the toy accurate one? Should I just hit up eBay and take my chances?

I bought Starscream for $37.95 on ebay. Not sure if its the original Re-Issue. Is there more than one version of him by Takara?

These are probably my favorite things to buy. Brand new toys just like they were when they came out, well..for the most part anyway.

 

I get all of mine from AnimeDavesWorld, whose shop is located here in Houston, about 15 minutes from my University. They only charge $35, they call me on my cell phone when a new one comes in (obssessed maybe), and I don't have to pay shipping :)

I've almost got all the takara reissues. I guess when you mean reissues, do you mean only the book style reissues, or the reissues with g1 original box style? I have been collecting both types of reissues. All mine are MISB. Haven't felt like opening any since I've been just messing around with my hasbro alternators mostly. The best place to buy for me is ebay, especially if you can find a seller selling multiple items, or if you don't mind buying used. If I have to buy somewhere else, I usually go with Bigbadtoystore, Toyobsessed, or Toynk.
