Ok. We know some LoC figures are getting redeco'd for the Classics line.

 

So, with the redeco floodgate open and with it quite likely that the TF CLASSICS line will probably stretch out past the movie line and up until the launch of Heroes (albeit without many availible designers to develop new molds towards the end), I expect a few waves of repaints.

 

Off the top of my head, Cybertron Blurr, Energon Soundwave and Downshift seem like plausible redecos that wouldn't take much design work. I could see an Omega Supreme G1 redeco ala Energon Unicron if Hasbro is looking to fill a few shelves.

 

I could readily see Red alert Cybertron Defense as Perceptor, following the LoC redeco.

 

Maybe Leobreaker as Predaking?

 

Armada Wheeljack remolded as Sideswipe and Red alert? (Basically just remove the slash and internalize the minicon gimmick.)

 

Energon Crosswise as Jazz?

A couple more thoughts:

 

Energon Downshift as Tracks (with a new head).

 

Hero Megatron as Warpath.

 

Bulkhead as Springer.

 

Cybertron Unicron as Bludgeon.

How is this news?......Or rumours for that fact?

As long as the repaints make sense and some retooling is done, im up for it all...But for the love of god don't recolor the Red alert that is the 30 dollar price point. they are still clogging to many shelves.

 

Hopefully by Wave 3 of Classics we will have Gesalts-namely Devastator, Predaking, Superion and Computron would all be sweet to see, specially Computron, they could make that bad ass looking.

 

Now as far as the UM vs SW set since it is a Target only exclusive i doubt SW will be availble single carded and same with UM cause we saw pics of him earlier but not in package

I think the only updated versions of Devastator and Superion we're going to see are the ones that already came out in Energon. And considering that each of those combiner teams had only three unique molds, one might guess that making a combiner team with five unique molds has gotten, perhaps, too pricey nowadays. :roll

 

I could die happy if they updated Predaking, but I just can't see it happening.
