The Beastformer playset counts as a base, which is covered in Poll #5. So far, most people are saying that bases do NOT count.

Individual Beastformers are covered in poll #14. So far, most votes say that they do NOT count.

In my perosnal opinion, the playset doesn't count, but individual Beastformers should count.

Go cast your votes if you already haven't, folks!

question about those polls... what are they for exactly? i mean are you gonna be conducting a survey or something in a few weeks/months?

sorry for the thread jack...

i think i had one battle beast as a kid, i wasn't too crazy with it (it had a green deer vehicle?), but yea it didn't look like anything tf related. i don't remember them too well tho, like i said i was too crazy bout 'em when i was a kid, i was more into tf's and gi joes.

Takara liked mixing the toy properties together. They did similar things with putting Godzilla in the Microman story, but didn't even make toys for it until years later. But for some reason, 99% of the people out there don't consider Beastformers to be TF toys, even tho some have the Tatake/FSRL logo on it.

The japanese versions of the Battle beasts are assigned to Cybertron or Destron. No fire water wood stuff. As well as G1 packaging. Yes, I consider them a subline and I collect them.

WOW, I never saw it before!

I'm with RhA and Tripred, these guys were like the quintisons, another alien race in the TF universe....such a shame they get ignored so much...the bastard children of the G1 line i guess...:(

Battle Beasts were in one episode of Transformers Headmasters in Japan. They they went on to be a sub line under the Transformers logo including 3 smaller vehicles, 3 larger bases (eagle being one of them) and several other items likes gumball beasts and such. a secondary line was released in Japan and europe called Laser Beasts but now was a seperate line from Transformers. So when people talk about Beastformers, they don't mean Beast Wars, but more than likely this line....Beastformers.

In the US they were released seperate of the TF line to prevent confusion and simple called battle beasts.

for more info check this site out, these guys might be the head Battle Beast collectors in the world for the most part, and is the only place I go for BB info.

Thanks for the explanation. I never realized that Beastformers were Japanese Battle Beasts. I had always assumed it was either associated with Beast Wars or some G1 subline that wasn't released here.

I had a bunch of them (Battle Beasts) when I was young, but alas I sold practically every toy from my childhood except for my LEGOs.
