Can we really say that the Japanese are ruining the franchise with this? In Japan, this stuff is normal. If we did have the internet, we'd never know this stuff existed. And we'd all live happy TF collecting lives. I say just ignore it now as if it didn't exist.

It makes me fear that Takara could do this, could choose this character, because they know there isn't a Megatron forthcoming from Hasbro's side. If Hasbro was working on something (for instance that color chart of that Megatron-tank we saw some time ago, or an alt that will be Megatron), then Takara probably wouldn't release this as Megatron, because they knew a better Megatron was already coming.

 

The way I see it: a) There isn't some kind of special Megatron coming, b) unless Hasbro also releases the S2000 as Megatron, we won't see a Megatron in the alt line (unless Hasbro and Takara no longer work together on this line).

If they're going to release that Megs, I doubt they'll change the head. They're already too cheap to make it die-cast, and Decepticharge's head looks like Megs anyway, tentatounge not included.

Hasbro has released several Alts that TakTomy hasn't. Swerve, Rico, Rollbar, Nemesis, Camshaft, Decepticharge, Mirage. Hasbro hasn't given us alert or Broadblast. I think Hasbro is gonna release a totally different Megs in the Alt line.

Okay, actually I'm hoping more for a tank megs of the same size as 20th Prime. (How would that work out with the G2 anniversary and BW-II? 15th for G2 and 10th for BW-II ? Megatron for Hasbro and Megastorm for Takara...But I'm probably doing the wishful thinking part...)

 

 

Truth be told, I'm really worried (as far as I can be for a toyline) that Alts are dead. Hope I'm wrong, but the signs don't look IMO.

Weird, I was only in japan a few months back and you see guys of all ages, from late teens to late in life, reading these black and white anime porn comics. On the train, walking down the street, they're everywhere. And it's just a normal everyday thing - no-one seems to think it out of place. Oh well, wasn;t the only culture shock I got there but that's a different story.......

i used to think that the japanese were just more open about their sexually but i later came to the realization that their attitudes towards sexuality were just as extreme as those of americans but at the opposite end of the spectrum. IMHO, a healthy middleground would be sexual attitudes similar to those of most european countries. those folks are more open about their sexuality but for the most part, they're not vulgular about it.

 

Dont make the mistake of judging European sexuality on the quality of its porn, its just as repressed and vulgar as anywhere else on earth and that includes holland outside of amsterdam.

 

And this line is getting weirder and wierder, will still pick up any interesting toys from the line like autolooper.
