No, he's saying that we don't have enough to make a true judgment about the movie. It's like seeing the opening credits for a movie and screaming "I'm leaving this sucks!!!!" We just don't have enough.

Xamot's right. don's saying he doesn't need anybody but those willing to blindly follow whatever they say about the movie. he's saying wait until you've spent your $15 bucks + gas to go see the thing then pass judgement. i've seen enough to know that it's not transformers to me. he wants me to see the film before i decide, fine i'll just download it. i'm not paying $20 to watch a movie that i'm going into with a negative view to begin with. if i like it, then i'll go see it, but until then they arn't getting a cent of my money.

I can't believe you guys eat this stuff right out of Don's hand. It seems like the transformation should be the easy part. Hell, the ametuer transformation test footage seemed to be pretty good and got everyone go'in.

It's designing the characters and displaying good personality/writing on the screen thats the hard part.IMO

Again with the generalizing! It's bad enough we get it from a few people who think anyone who doesn't like the movie designs is a G1 ninny. Now we get it from one of the movie's producers?

I won't go as far to flame anyone but I have to really agree with the whole fandom needing to shut up over this already. I don't really care if someone likes/doesn't like something but the negatitivity some of the fandom I really can't respect at this point. In the last year and a half the Starscreaming/whining whatever the hell you call it has already IMO done more harm than good. Yes getting Peter Cullen and possibly Welker is awsome beyond belief but it's also a real pissoff that both Arcee and Soundwave were ousted altogether because people couldn't deal with either the changes made or the way the characters were represented. Because of this we get 4 foot Freny (Kennywave) instead of Soundwave. I also would have had no objection to having Arcee (not in early G1 be damned) being an additional character. As already stated earlier and long ago the whole production crew behind this movie should have stopped listening to fans a long time ago. The very fact the fandom was approached at all reguarding this movie should be sign enough that depite its Murphy/Bay's movie they seriously don't indend to Powerglide it up. Hasbro has I think more than anything anyone can imagine on the line and also will be sure to not let anyone involved with this project to Powerglide it up.

 

I'm definitely not saying this will be perfect or damn near the best movie ever but all we as fans need to do is give it a chance. If that's asking too much at this stage of production then I guess that's just the way it is. Knowing this is a "fandom" and people are like opinionated and stuff it's never as easy as saying "take it or leave it." :redface

I'm personally invested in this project. I know I'm not the only one here who actually grew up with the whole of Transformers. Toy growing up, Cartoon coming home from school, comics read through college. We've seen it change so much that the big what-to-do about one way or another gets old. The attacks from the negative jerks just want to have the version they want. This is someone else's idea of what things could be.

 

Visually, I'm excited about what's coming. I look at scetch art all the time for what's being done for things, I do a lot of scetch work of my own for my own future projects, what we've seen is completely different from what we thought we saw a few months ago laying on a truck bed. Hell the napkin doodle that became Starscream got me excited.

 

The final thought, I don't care about what they do, wrong or right. good or bad. I've gone to a lot of movies and come away disappointed. I had my hopes, but they failed. I know for a fact that hit or miss I am going to see this movie and for some reason, enjoy it. Hearing Cullen's voice. Seeing giant robots. Seeing giant robots transform.

and the 09' Camero VS Mustang GT.

 

I know I'm gonna get a bash from the negative fans on this, but so be it. Thats all I got to say about that.

Don is like Michael Bay's personal fanboy bodyguard or something :lol I feel so sorry for the sh*t he has to put up with.

 

He does come across as strong, but I know he gets a lot of crap from whiny people, so I think it's totally understandable. Oh, and apart from the fact that he's completely right about everything he said
