When I look at Optimus Prime, I can't see how that can be a good looking toy in truck mode. All of those small panels, it's going to look like a finished jigsaw puzzle.

it will prolly be like the helicopter. the toys will prolly still have some kibble.

That and they appear to have more outer coverings than the actual movie characters.

you know, when i compair Blackout's toy and movie incarnations, i don't see a toy that is a dumbed-down version of a movie design. i see a movie design that is an overtly complex and detailed version of a toy. the toy is designed well enough to stand on its own without needing the movie to make it look cool.

HEHE. Loki's my new buddy. :tflaugh

:D

Just one thought about the toys. I imagine some will be meant to transform while the ultra detailed ones will probably be super accurate/articulated action figures. I quite honestly can't see how the complexity of these designs can be done any other way with out surmountable kibble (Blackout) Though I personally feel a transformer should be able to transform and have two molds if the characters are represented well and are memorable I have no real problem with some only being action figures.

Holy Blot i crossed over. :eek :eek :eek :eek

as for now, i think conformity is our only option...unless you can't let it go, can't help you there. it took me a while to swallow what they've come up with...and well, i have to accept the fact these are the new transformers in the "real world" with a hint what we grew up with which is G1. it's growing on me.

k..nuff of babbling...

you forget most of the original G2 molds, BW and BM.

I wonder how much work this has been for Hasbro, making Transformers with so much detail.

Good point. Also, I was making a guess that the toys were made AFTER the movie characters were created. Usually, the show is made from the toys. I'll bet that is a big change for them too, if that is the case. Of course, that's mere speculation on my part.

The first thing i thought of when i read this was - Diaclone

and then it occured to me -

The movie HAS taken Transformers back to its G1 Roots!!

:eek

By the way - luvers to Loki!!
