Classics mini Dinobots sets!!!

Recommended Posts

These are so pointless. They just don't fit with the Classics line. Why Hasbro, why?

What the Powerglide is wrong with some of you?

While called Classics, Hasbro DOES have to take into consideration the fact the Armada minicon teams were SUCCESSFUL and kids LIKE them and retailers dig them as well.

The Beast and Night Rescue both fit the descriptions from the Hasbro website for a wave of vs sets. More than likely with Cybertron ending, Hasbro rebranded the toys into theme sets and set them loose in Classics (which, only only say classics on ONE section of the insert).

Don't like em? Don't buy them. But kids and many collectors DO like them, and any expecting a pure G1 redux with this line is a fool. While a core focus, ultimately, this is just a filler line to keep toys on the shelves before the movie rush in May.

So that they can just stick to one style of packaging. I can't see anywhere in these packaging that says "classic". It just using the new style.

I'm soooooooooooo going to pass on these, I've never been a big mini-con fan but if one looks cool I'll pick them up but they still have that fugly Armada/Cybertron transformation sequence that I despise.

agreed thier is no Classics logo rather the classic G1 style of the transformers name so we could say thier not classics like KB down shift and snow cat arnt part of cybertron even tho they have the same style box

They look neat, but I'll probably pass. Minicons sure have improved since armada, though.

They look quite nice, even though they make me think a little of the old Go-Bots from the 80s, just a little though with their bot modes. New mini cons are always welcome, I loved the old mini con teams and I try not to pass up new mini con molds. Maybe they'll be released at the same time that the larger Classics are released, it does look like it.

-New mini cons, yay, more wee TF's!

I'm totally diggin' on these, and I normally don't care for minicons at all. The Dinobots will be mine and Swoop will serve my classics Grimlock as a minion against Cybertron Soundwave and Laserbeak! Yes!!!!!!!

OH...the geekgasm...

As for the name use issue that has some people worried, I wouldn't sweat it. Hasbro's a buisness. If the line makes money, we'll see more. And if the demand is there to do an update of G1 Broadside or Swoop there's the Beast Wars precedent, set with Silverbolt, that one name can belong to two characters in the same line, or the always-an-option upgrade a character into a new figure in the same line, ala Cybertron Defense.

And, if they don't get around to that, well, we knew this line was meant as filler until the movie came out, so no loss, right?

Be happy!

I never thought to see minicons in classics :tfhuh

According to Kickback at TFW2005, Hasbro is dropping the "modern" logo used from RID to Cybertron.

Because of the movie, the classic G1 font is now standard and will be used on EVERY new toy due after Cybertron.

The term "Classics" only apply to the Deluxe and Voyager figures.
