fortmax: I wasn't saying you switched the parts, but if it was bought off of someone loose, they could have still been switched somewhere along the lines. I'm just going off the information I pulled from the different variant TF info sites I've found on the web, so my info is only as good as theirs.

One way to at least help tell with Frenzy is with the toes, since many gold-weapon Frenzies also had plastic toes instead of metal ones.

really? My '85 Rumble has plastic feet. Was it different for him?

All I know is that my Ratbat has chrome weapons and spray aps, which is more valuable to me, since I can't stand the gold bling bling, and I had a few other cassettes with stickers and they peel in no time flat.

Yours isn't an '85 if it as plastic feet since the plastic feet one didn't show up until 1986 when it was packaged with Ratbat. 1986 was the year in which Hasbro first began it's eliminating die-cast in TF's, and they were so Outback about it that they even eliminated the metal in Frenzy's tiny feet.

Well, when I bought Rumble with Ravage, they both had chrome weapons and Rumble had plastic feet. That's all I know.
