More HTS exclusive alts?

Recommended Posts

Hasbro Toy Shop is incompetant. The servers being overloaded only explains the problem for a few hours. After that it was pure lying, idiocy, and a complete lack of communication or customer service.

So no, I'd rather they not waste my time with any more of their "exclusives."

The only place those things were exclusive to were Hong Kong and the convention.

Exclusives are good things, they give us something to chase after and people do it. HTS apparently wasn't ready for the response they got on NP though which is amusing since fans seemed to approve of him more than Optimus.

I don't what people are complaining about. HTS doesn't ship overseas. So you'll have to go through an importer, how is that any different from a Japanese exclusive? People seem to love Japanese exclusives and pay tons of money to import them. I just don't see the problem. Go ask your country to create an exclusive figure and if I want him I'll find a way to import him. In the meantime, I want more exclusive figures!

Hasbro Europe hasn't done any exclusives since the 90s and those were the post G1 toys and a few dozen G2 toys. Hoping for Hasbro Europe to do any exclusive Transformers, let alone notice that they do have more buyers of Transformers than they realise is like getting BBC to show quality programmes, not likely.

So it's annoying for non-US fans when there are only ever US only exclusives, it costs a lot of import and isn't done by every non-US fan. The last TF I imported myself was BT Prowl and he took almost six months to arrive, so I'm in no rush to import again unless it's not likely to be released here or I'm not wanting to wait for a long time, which is usually the case.

-..??**~~...Beyond, the boredom!

Difference is: japanese TF's are made and distributed by Takara. So if you live a country where Takara doesn't sell, then you have to get some store to import them for you. No problem there.

However, Hasbro caters to the 'western' world: USA, Australia, Europe. So for Hasbro to make figures that are only available in the USA, is plain stupid and means they purposely ignore a large part of the world.

You want more exclusives? Buy the botcon sets and the other figures sold at conventions.

Oh, and Smokescreened, you're wrong. Every time a TF is offered in Europe, that's pretty damn exclusive :P

I hate overpaying on eBay, Tfieds, or anywhere else for that matter, so no, I am not interested in exclusives.

I think it would depend on how they handled it. Of course, it would probably be a lot better if they didn't release them on the same day that rabid Star Wars dorks were trying to buy their 5 billionth Stormtrooper or their aluminum colored Tie Fighter. I wouldn't be opposed to more exclusives though.

if they're Dorks, what are we?

Personally, if we're going to get some kind of exclusive Alt, at least give it to someone who knows what they're doing with it--like Toyfare or a physical, brick-and-mortar-and-steel-and-whateverthehellelsetheymakestoresoutof retailer.
