Why? Because it's not die-cast, but PAINTED, which means that the little Marissa figure is most likely better quality than Op. And that's sad.

 

I wanted to get it just for Marissa(the only human that appeared in G1 in BT, I belive), but I despize this version of Prime, and paying that much just for a puny li'l flesh creature isn't worth it at all.

Anyways! I'll buy this eventualy for the following reasons: #1-it's a TF, I'm a completist. #2-The alts are an awesome. #3-This is a new and strange chapter in TF's history, it's contraversial as we have seen due to the style of the art (and it's been pointed out a trillion times that the IS a story about her, her age and whatnot) For better or worse it's on the market now, and I could see this becoming a piece that 10 years down the line people will point to it on a shelf and say "...what the hell is THAT?!" it'll be a good conversation piece.

we need to agree on the common facts of the matter:

 

1: Malissa is a fictional anime character, ergo, sexualizing her is a victimless crime.

 

2: Regardless of how old her bio says she is, the artists designed Malissa to look underaged.

 

3: Some people(like myself) don't give a Blot about Malissa but are more concerned over how Transformers have to whore themselves out with the Kiss line in order to sell toys in Japan.

Okay, you're right on most things there. But this toy is being sold to girls, not being whored out to perverted TF fans.
