Wip out your Instructions for Alt Mirage

Recommended Posts

Like I said last night, I did this and it absolutely improves the bot mode. I just added some superglue to the pinch points on the flaps and now they are fairly secure, much more so than I would have expected. I just love how it fills out Mirage and actually makes him look good and feel secure (or at least less floppy).

Design oversight. The chest flaps snap into position at the wrong angle, preventing the system from clipping together like it should. I posted a fix over at the Allspark, here: http://www.allspark.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12333

I'm gonna agree with this... mine won't line up at all, and one flap is super tight while the other is floppy. Thanks to Tman for making the thread though, I hadn't noticed the flaps either, and even unattached they make the bot mode look a bit better.

I was opening Mirage as I read this thread. I couldn't get them to snap quite right. Luckily mine has rather tight joints, so it's not really loose.

Interesting!

I just tried it and it does seem to work as intended, but I can't make them stick permanently either. However, I found something that helps instead...

[edit] See Vector Prime's post for photos, it shows it better.

:pfx

After more fiddling, that's what I've ended up with and am happy with the overall look.

I was looking around Geewun_Redux and I stumbled onto a thread that gave me pause.....T-man pointed out "Mirage's lost transformation step...After studying both of my Mirage's I have been able to find only one viable use for these "unmentioned flaps". And having them placed where I do they seem to strengthen the chest quite a bit !! What do you think?
