Wip out your Instructions for Alt Mirage

Recommended Posts

I just got my gunless Mirage back and I noticed something while transforming him. Besides the two blue floor panel flaps that Mirage has that folds onto his belly, he has two black panels that fold outward.

Now look at step number 19-1 on your sheet. Supposedly the flap hinge out at a 45 degree angle and attach to the chest flap. For the life of me, I cant get it to work on mine because it's not a firm connection and one flap is stiffer than the other. You guys tell my your results though.

Cant take pics right now. Im at work and my Cam sucks any way.

ooooOO. I see now.

At first I never noticed that the black flaps could lift up, I just completely ignored them

It's a little weird getting them into place, but by adjusting the front part of the hood you can get it to stabalize a bit too.

It helps a bit, but not much.

Not much at all. Prime's hood only stays in place with the official grill crotch Transformation. *I hate that version*

Maybe the Mirage flaps were a discontinued after thought?

You know, these instructions could really use some WORDS. Not just Mirage's, but all of them. His were actually a lot more explicit than Prime's, which were VERY vague. Luckily Prime has a far simpler tf-scheme.

I just got Mirage today and I was wondering the same thing. The flimsy chest doesn't really bother me, but I find the black flaps very confusing.

It's a delicate balacing act. I got them on quite well, it's pretty sturdy now. If you want a picture just let me know.

I've done it now but it's like a kid gluing his homework to his Composition notebook with spit. It's not gonna stay long. For Sh*ts and giggles, post the pic any way.

I hadn't even noticed those flaps on his chest. Glad I read this thread, it looks much better that way.

Remy's images are the only ones I've seen on the internet that has the chest transformed correctly. The instructions actually demonstrate it properly. But you're right, the instructions are generally very poor, especially for OP. Check out Remy's Mirage gallery and you'll see how the chest should look. It isn't at all secure (picking him up by the chest will result in it flipping off), but it makes Mirage have at least some pecs.
