Yeah, what he said. I've owned a few test shots, and all are somewhat defaced, although some less blatantly than this. Alt Wheeljack had a number handwritten in blue ink on his roof, apparently under the paint because it was faint, but visible... and there was Decepticharge's "dirty" overspray, and I'm pretty sure my Shockblast had some odd marks on him too, although I don't recall exactly. I would guess they would be more blatant on a mold that would most likely be in higher demand... but yeah, I'm sure even Hasbro isn't dumb enough to just randomly spooge yellow paint on a Megatron's face and call it "battle damage". Well, reasonably sure, anyway. This is Hasbro we're talking about, after all. :redface

 

 

But actually, my statement was more about how most of the people that are posting about the yellow are doing so as if they're completely oblivious to the 134 posts suggesting a totally viabale explanation. That was supposed to be my point, anyway.

It probably is deliberate, but people like collecting prototypes. I've learned that everyone likes to collect one type of toy that others wouldn't. So, I doubt that some yellow paint would discourage a collector of prototypes.

Why are people Starscreaming about this guy??? He's awesome! If you want a G2 Megatron go buy one or something.

I do miss his encyclopedic knowledge of stuff, but it's not worth his extreme douchefactor.

Personally I really like what's been done with Megatron here. Just wish he was a voyager oposed to Deluxe. Ah well now G1 prime has someone to spar against.
