Oh well, I guess I'm the only one who considers the compenents and the gestalt all individual. My reasoning is both in the cartoon, comics and toys, they're all portrayed as individuals and not a 5 for one deal where it takes the best of each component and merges it into a single central processor.

You're right what you're saying, but you're missing the point a bit.

Here's a way of putting it: Have you ever seen all 6 Constructicons AND Devvy in the same scene? It's 6 OR 1, not 7. :thumb

I remember seeing Bruticus and the 5 other Combaticons together in one scene in the Five Faces of Darkness. It was a glitch though considering Bruticus was no bigger than Vortex.

It's not a matter of robotic personal identity, it's a matter of how many transformers toys you own. I.E., if you paid for each individual bot separately, and then paid for the combined form again, you can count Devastator as 7. Of course, that also makes you an idiot for paying for the same toys twice. :tflaugh Otherwise, I would think you'd only count the component bots. Or, if you really wanted to get technical, you could say that if they were the individually packed versions, you count the components, but if it was a gift set, you only count the combined form. But regardless, it should be one or the other, not both.
