Same here.  It's a lot.  The good thing is that most of what I bought, I could get close to or more than what I paid, so atleast it's not just down the tubes if I ever need to sell to make ends meet.  As an "investment", I would say I've probably come close to breaking even with somethings going up a lot in value (swerve, anime astrotrain) and some things going down (open binaltech swindle :-).

Pasquale

FIGURE TOTAL: 595

TOTAL COST: $12,392.00 as of 7/16/06 ($10,694.00 figures only)

(cut and pasted from my way too organized "Transformers Collection" list)

That includes the figures, the display cabinets and lighting, the few comics I have and the DVDs.

way too much...but it's better than drinking alone! (oh, la la di di dah...)

I don't even want to think about it.

Then maybe you guys should revaluate your purchases or something

easy over 20,000 usd

lucky draws alone are about 10,000

I've only gotten back into TF collecting 10 months ago, at a bit over 250 figures, having spent a bit over $4.5k CDN (about $4k USD).

I'd guess I've spent about 2500-3000 USD on my collection.  Thats all in the last two years.  Of course I've also made about 500 or so back in selling other things off from the extras in junk lots I picked up, to some of my other childhood toys that I've gotten rid of on Ebay.

Of course I've also been slowing down some lately.  Was at the point where I had at least 100-200 bucks a month going into TFs.  Catching up on all the figures I wanted from previouse lines was expensive.  Now I'm jsut waiting for Classics to come out.

I don't even want to think about it.
