To me it is how bad I want the figure. The most I have hit in a day is about 15 different stores. Plus did not find anything but sometime when I look the least the easier it is to find that figure. Plus it is a good work out too!!!

I plan on looking at probably about 8 stores today for that bastard Wing Saber. I checked 2 yesterday. There are about 15 around here that I check when I go hunting, but only about 5-6 of those do I check regularly.

1 tru

2 walmarts

On a normal day, 1 walmart and 1 Target. On a free time day 2 Targets and 2 walmarts. Then I go home pissed.

4 Walmarts, 1 Target, 1 TRU, and 1 K-mart.

 

All within a 10 mile area from my apartment.

K-Mart makes my brain hurt. I did find Nemesis Breaker there. Sucks they dont sell Alts

After not finding him at the next store, I started getting toy aisle rage. I literally barged a staff member as a stormed out of the action figure aisle in an angry huff after roundhouse kicking a toy off the shelf in frustration. After failing to find Primus at the fourth store I checked, I punched a reissue Cheetor off a shelf as I furiously marched out - foaming.

 

By the 6th store, I bought a Metroplex just to stop myself from killing someone.

 

Then I found Primus.

I usually look in the same shops, Woolworths, Toymaster, then Tescos and sometimes Argos, but it's rare for any of those to have TF's.  More than rare, usually never.  In the local city, I look in Forbidden Planet, Toymaster, Woolworths and TRU.  But they're rare as well, FP is expensive and TRU tends to shove TF's aside for Power Rangers and the never ending Star Wars figures.

Although Lancaster County, PA seems to be stuck in one of the larger distribution holes...I still manage to eventually find most items.

 

My hunt depends largely on the prey.  Alternators take precedence.  They are currently the most important line to me...but I have made exceptions for Cybertron figures like Wingsaber, Cybertron Defence Scattorshot, and Primus.

 

In Lancaster we have 2 Walmarts, 1 Target, a Toys R' Us, a Boscov's and a Kohls.  The only times I check Kohl's would be if they are having a sale, or if they ended up with an exclusive.  Boscov's I have never had luck at, but I figure someday I'll find something.

 

Not too far away, I have in one direction, another Walmart in Ephrata, PA, and another in Parkesburg.

 

If Lancaster gets boring, I hit up the more lucrative area of York, PA.  In York, they have 2 Walmarts, 2 Targets, a Toys R' Us, a Kohl's, and a Boscov's.

 

I can also visit Reading...which has one Walmart, one Target, and one Toys R' Us.  Oh yeah, and a Boscov's.

 

Or Exton, PA...with one Walmart, one Target, and one Toys R' Us.

 

or Lebanon, which has basically one Walmart, but if you continue up 422, there is another Walmart in Palmyra, and if you keep going, another Walmart in Harrisburg/Hershey.

 

Which one do I choose?  Usually York, since it has the highest concentration of retail stores...and that is where I usually score the most toys.  I just hate the ride home...when you have brand new, piping hot and fresh Transformers in your trunk, and theres nothing you can do for the solid 45 minute drive home.

 

I guess, before anyone thinks I'm crazy...I DO NOT do all of this in one day.  I go probably on one trip in one direction every two or three weeks.  I love driving...its always been a part of how I was raised, and how I grew up with cars...and I love having some time to myself to think.

 

However...last night I had an enormous amount of success when I took my girlfriend with me!  And I had a great time as well!
