Well, sorry you didn't get accepted when you called. But if you ruin it for everybody, does that give you some kind of satisfaction?  I agree that you should complain about not being treated fairly and perhaps they can negotiate in giving you some store credit to use for any other toy if they do indeed don't have enough NP's.  Some of us only have this slim chance of getting this figure now at a fair price, so forgive me if I don't share your sentiments and support your reasoning.

I find that when a person doesn't show respect for others and are willing to step on others to prove a point , they themselves don't deserve any respect either.

Frankly, to hell to the phone orders. They shouldn't be filled - I know that will probably upset those who (believe) they made one, but that's total BS.

I called at 3 separate times to order a NP, and spoke to 3 separate people- and they all told me 'No order for you!' --only to read on 2 message boards that people calling after me were being told they would have orders filled for them.

I don't blame you all, I bet I wouldn't care if I was one of those lucky callers; however, I'm not. I appreciate the sentiment some people are expressing when they contact customer service asking 'what will happen to the people who called and were turned away?' -- but let's be honest-- it's easier to say that when they told you on the phone up front your order would be filled the first time.

I'm emailing the customer service area with this argument: "You (hasrbo) discriminated agaisnt particular consumers who called for orders, while letting others receive the item. To keep any type of customer loyalty, I am requesting equal treatment to all customers- make the toy available to everyone at once or none at all. Filling the phone orders would be the biggest mistake of this situtation."

Sure, I sound like a whiny little Starscream- but after spending hundreds of dollars on their toys, I feel no guilt in asking for something that resembles respect from the company. I would urge all of you who don't have a golden 'phone order' promise to do the same.

I suppose there will be tons of them available sooner or later- but this is rather entertaining if you asked me.

imho, they should honor the phone orders just because they where honest orders, however, the exclusivity of said item should be thrown out the window and they should either take it public or offer it on their site for a full 24 hours just to make things fair.

Went back to the website, there no longer exists an entry for NP or any other SDCC exclusives. Not an out of stock entry, its completely gone.

Kinda puts a downer on any chance of them selling more later.

"Off-guard by the sheer volume,"?  What did they expect when they made a toy that everyone wants but only made it a convention and store exclusive, in limited quantities?  Even people who hate the Optimus Prime mold really like Nemesis Prime.

Shenanigans. They did the same thing last year with SW figures. The website got taken down in 3 hours last time. This time it took 30 minutes. Their IT group should have learned from their mistakes & had a fix put in by now.

wow-- i have to laugh at that one- please don't judge me on my character by how i would place a consumer complaint over a toy. i'm really not taking this that seriously.. but still, i'll bite.  i'm looking for my slim chance just like you were... but let's be serious. if the callers who really got in for the dang toy cared about respect to the level you suggest, wouldn't they cancel their orders out of principle? it's a two way street with an argument like that-- and of course they're not going to! i wouldn't!

i don't want to ruin it for everyone, i would like it to be fair for everyone. that's the only point i'm after. all of us only had that slim chance of getting this figure at a fair price- the motive behind my argument is not take away, but return that chance to those who it was wrongly taken from. sorta a 'look at this way you fools.. sell us some more as a result!' but meh- there's always ebay if you want it badly enough.

Hey mikull, guess what!  It's not our fault you weren't persistent enough to get through.  Some of us had to call as many as five times.  Next time try growing a spine.

all i hear is *waaa waaa waaa* that guy has a point that might make me lose my toy! silence him before he makes sense to someone who cares!

c'mon guys, i said you all would be mad at me.. but you can't blame me for trying to  get my piece of the pie.

Well when it effects you taking my piece away, then yes I am going to voice my objection. Now none of us can stop you from doing what you want to do. If you feel to take that route, that is your choice.  But since you don't give a damn about us, why should we care if you get one or not?  You initiated the whinning and the screw the others attitude.  But I am not going to beg or ask you not do anything.

BTW : I hate Hasbro for causing this situation to begin with.
