Jah, but that whole bit about Rhinox paying tribute to his origins is ever so lame. You know what I would have done? Painted the place where the Autobot symbol is all black. And maybe put a Maximal Symbol above it or in the area around it.

Not bad, probably the best exclusive but they just HAD to plaster all those damned faction symbols on him.  That white border is hidesou and not replacing the Autobot symbol with a Maximal symbol just kills it.  They could have at least gotten rid of the Autobot symbol and replaced it with a painted Maximal symbol while removing the other two Maximal symbols to make this figure look MUCH better than it currently does.

 

Yes, I'm a freak when it comes to faction symbols.

Just as Dinobot has a Predacon symbol in place of the Autobot logo, Rhinox's was also suppose to be replaced. Guess what, things changed and Big Poppa out East said nah baby nah. So, you work with it and go from there. It is never as easy as many think. Oh, whoever said it was cheap and lazy not to, well, now ya know.....

He wants to look cool, as the "Earth" look is in.

I don't blame the Botcon guys, but obviously someone, somewhere, is to blame.  It honestly doesn't bother me that much, though.  There are plenty of Americans of Scottish descent, for instance, who wear kilts and hang their clan mottos over the mantle, even though their ancestors immigrated hundreds of years ago and they've never even been outside the country.  Besides, Rhinox was kind of an historian... Not saying it isn't lame, just that I could live with it.

I think griping over faction symbols in good places is one of the dumbest things the fandom ever does.

 

Gripe over E-Barricade's backwards facing one, which makes it so Bruticus has a constant reminder over what side he's on.

 

But Rhinox's nice metallic embossed one is nice.  That's not something to complain over.

 

I'm kinda glad I wasn't on these boards when Armada was around.  I can already imagine people screaming how A-Wheeljack has TWO faction symbols molded on.

Lucky you weren't around when BM was on the air at any board.

I like it but also like Iv said before these collector sets are way to freaking expensive.  If I go I'll pay at the door and spend my 300+ or whatever it costs on something I really want like Star Saber, Overlord, or pretty much any other Transformer.  But I still think it looks cool.

gotta say red alert would of made more sence to me but this is very nice and if it were sold in shops idd get it

i heard many predictions for the red alert mold, and no one thought of landmine so this way out of left field for me. but i do love it.

Actually Oggtimus Prime and myself both called the Landmine mold for Rhinox so I'm not surprised.

 

His face looks younger then the Rhinox I'm used to though.
