Cybertron Shortround is one of us

Recommended Posts

Yes, but their numbers are so hideously low that they're negligible. They're not really considered to have been properly released.

So they do exist... in a Transformers toy *LIMBO!!! OOoooooOoooOOOooHHhhHHhhhh!!

Calm down there, fan-boy.

Nothing has any intrinsic value.

You hear that? That's the sound of an angry mob of macro-economists heading toward you know. They gonna get all fiscal on your ass. :D

Salt was once an accpeted form of payment/currency... .

My Great Grandparents lost a fortune in savings as a result of World War 1. The money didn't actually go anywhere,  it simply lost the vast majority of it's value.

A unit of currency  is only accepted as being of worth  becasue people are assured that they can later trade it for good or services.  If they don't believe it's of any value, they won't accept it.

That is why G2 Motormaster and Hotspot ARE of value. Even if they never made it past non functioning prototypes, there IS somebody out there who will hand over money for them,

...and name calling doesen't help you.

Yes, but their numbers are so hideously low that they're negligible. They're not really considered to have been properly released.

Negligible to the average collector due to value/rarity??  Yes.

Negligible in terms of not actually existing.  No.

It is not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's funny and he is one of us.

Pretty stoopid bio for a Transformer...

Most of the key-unlocked bios are either insight into the design/naming process, or, in Shortround's case, namely a fun, tongue-in-cheek supplemental bonus.

The actual bios supplied with the toys are much more serious.

(prototypes don't hold much relative intrinsic value) --

Nothing has any intrinsic value.  The value is decided when the seller and buyer agree upon a price.

I think you guys are missusing the word intrinsic here.  Typically a toys intrinsic value is to be played with.  Just like food's intrinsic value is to be eaten.  A prototype might have just as much intrinsic value as a final toy depending on how well made it is.  Typically the ability to be played is considered to be fairly low in value though (toys historically  haven't been big ticket items).  Once dispposable incomes become significant, and particularly when people start collecting things, intrinsic values are only a small part of the valuation of most things.

I think that "G1" is to Cybertron as DC's Earth 2 was to Earth 1.

That's pretty damn good considering that G2 Defensor and Menasor don't exist!

NEITHER DOES SHORTROUND!!!

Jeebus, now Hasbro has fans complaining about fictional characters collecting fictional toys....
