TRUE STORY!! 

 

A few years ago when I was attending college in North Georgia, I went to this True Value hardware store in Cornelia Georgia that was also a gift shop.  Back then, I was collecting mainly G.I. Joe figures and someone had said they had seen some in this store and that I should check it out.

 

This place was packed with TONS of old toys, and to this day it still is.  The first time I stepped foot in this place, back in 2003, I found a lot of Generation 1 Transformers still sitting on the shelf after 20+ years!!

 

Would you believe I didn't buy them?

 

Then, about a year ago, I thought about that store when I started collecting Transformers again (I had played with them like crazy when I was a kid).  Would you believe, that even after 2 more years, nobody had found them in this place??

 

You wouldn't believe the stuff I bought.  This store had ALL of the Generation 1 Minicars, all still MINT with even some duplicates.  I think in all, I scored about 25 Minicars, all at $1.25 a piece!!  On one of the back aisles, I found a StarScream for $9, 2 Megatrons for $15 and a SoundWave for $15!!

 

I was definitely in heaven.

 

Too bad I sold them all on Ebay last year when I went through my divorce.  Oh the humanity!!

 

I need to go back to that store and ask the lady that runs it to rummage through her backroom  :thumb

Apparently we all have the same kind of dream at night. :tflaugh

 

And yeah....finding the deal of the century and selling it all is reallly sad, JMO
