why'd you think that?

the initial pics of megatron and scream made my Hotspot pucker, way to blocky, but these new, unphotoshopped pics look more like toys and closer to the original idea, sans the diecast parts

Yup, they're definitely fitting in with the A/E/C era of toys, you can tell just by looking at them.

One thing is for sure: They're not super ultra articulated updates of our beloved G1 characters.  Nice updates, but they could have gone further and made them better by using RID design instead of the A/E/C design.

I will still get them.  They are, afterall, much better than the G1 versions.

These figures look incredibally sweet.  Bumblebee, Starscream, Prime, & (robot mode) Megatron ROCK!  Except for a few more Cybertron figures (Primus, Plex, dlx UNicron, & dlx Prime) I'm ready for the classics line.  Too bad about no cartoon to go w/ this line, it could be sweet (if done right).

Am I to understand that Astrotrain doesn't have his train mode in this toy line?

like them all (megs has grown on me) and will def be gettin them ALL!

The packaging....   after the Cybertron Packaging it just seems a little flat.

i never liked the cybertron packaging. it was to busy. but i expected the classics line to look... classic. kind of like the tru g1 reissues. meh.

No. You are not to understand that. It's too long to fit in the packaging.

RID design?! What, stick arms, high heels and an car hood for a left wrist? No thanks!

i just saw over at TFormers that they have new pics of the classics line if some one could post that link that would be sweet.
