Odd that Dr. Doom is listed lower than the Joker. I mean, Doom sacrificed his youth love in order to be given huge powers by some hell demons.

Then he used Reed and Sue´s yongest child, Valeria, as a familiar to gain access to the FF´s headquarters and trapped Franklin into a hell dimension.

Somehow, do not think the Joker did something that worse. Ok, he killed one of the Robins but that was a fan poll so it does not really count. Besides it would be less worse to be killed than thrown into a hell dimension, I imagine.

The Borg should also be higher on the list seeing how there is no race more evil as them. The most prized thing a human (or any race for that matter has) is his induviduality and that is exactly what the Borg take when they assimilate someone.

Some villains do not make much sense. Sideshow Bob did indeed have a less than successful criminal career. And he tried to kill Selma which I think is justified. Who would not want to kill her?

They did leave the worst villains off the list: Celine Dion and Anne Geddes. Now that is pure evil.  :eek

The Public dosn't read Comics so all they know of Doom isfrom the cartoons and the Movie. BTW I think that whole "Human Leather" phace was un-characteristic. Plus the Joker PWNS!

The Borg arn't evil, thats just what they do.

He was a fun character.

I'm surprised the Teen Titans cartoon version of Deathstroke wasn't on the list.

Now that is one cold as ice motherPowerglideer.

No way. At least Joker gets his ass kicked by an adult. :tflaugh

Nobody has beat Slade in physical combat ever. In that episode, he was meerly outwitted by Robin. That was one of two times that has ever happened.

Besides, the way Robin is portrayed in that series, he coudl easily kick joker's ass.

actually, he didn't even do that.  Red Hood'd!

Ah, yes. I recall reading in previews that he was back. Barely any hero or villain stays dead.

I do not actually read any of the Batman comics but I do occasionally glance at the DC section in Previews.

And Wizard is magazine dedicated to comics and has a monthly price guide. Heck, that is the only reason I ever bought it so I expected certain comic characters to be rated higher.

Comics probably sell pretty decently even to small children if Marvel has special `all ages` comics for them. I only read Fantastic Four but the whole style of the comic is tailored to small kids.

Simplerer storylines of just one issue makes them really easy to follow and for a child who can only afford one issue every two months or only get a comic from a parent rarely, it does not mean a loss of part of the story. It also avoids the huge cross-overs that occur in the regular titles.

The storylines are also much more kid friendlier than the regular series, up to the point where and older fan would question them. Heck, in the first issue Doom was fooled into thinking an MP3 player was some kind of generator.

But kids love that stuff so I am ok with it. Besides, this is the only thing a parent will get a child which is what is needed if we want to get kids into comics. They will grow up, move on to the regular comic and thusly ensuring a fanbase.

I think comics will never be gone as parents will want their children to read once in awhile. A book is asking too much so a comic will have to do.
