yeah, but the predakings inviduals themselves go for like 100 bucks/piece you get all 5 in a nice set for 150 and 50 to ship the item on ebay.... :clap

None of them had metal chests.  It was metal waists, except for either Tantrum or Headstrong (I never remember which) with a metal back.

Heh heh, um, yeah.  I'd pay extra for a knockoff Predaking, but there's no freakin' way I'm paying that much for an official one.  If I was going to drop that kind of money, it would be something recent from Studio Half Eye, not a 20-year-old Takara design.

To build a complete KO, it'd still you cost you about $50.  you're paying 1/3 less for terrible paint jobs and sucky quality.

Big Lots never sold the Predaking KO. They sold an animal combiner, but it most certainly wasn't Predaking. I'd have gotten one had they actually sold 'em in Big Lots.

Um, when I checked at BBTS (the link above), the price was around $250.  That's 5 times your KO price.  I like painting, so if I'm going to get a display-only toy anyway, I'd rather get the cheaper one.  Even at the $100-150 price (also mentioned above) on eBay, chances are I'm getting one that has that funny "other person's house smell".

 

And, I have to admit, maybe I'm just not a good enough fan to shell out that much for an older TF toy.

..that's why you buy it when it comes out, instead of waiting nearly a year and a half later and complaining about the inflated prices. :p

 

KOs don't count as Transformers. (-_-;)
